I look forward to LOTS more pictures!
Hello there,
I am interested in researching early childhood outdoor environments in New Zealand . We will be there all of June and I wonder if you have any advice on where I may volunteer in a childcare focused around nature. I will be visiting with my 2 year old daughter, and if she could attend the care setting, that would be ideal. I live in the U.S. and am just unsure on where to begin. Any leads you give will be ultra helpful. 🙂 Thank you for your time… and for this blog!
Hi Jen,
Lucky you: New Zealand for a month! sounds great. I have a bunch of wonderful new contacts there of people doing AMAZING things with kids and nature. I’d be happy to brainstorm with you. Where are you going? north island? south island? do you know what city / cities? lemme know! Rusty
Hi, we are continuously looking to make our play area for children more natural. It’s great to see what other preschools around the world are doing. We have a Kindergarten with a Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy and are based on providing a natural environment in which children can learn about sustainability for this beautiful environment we are so lucky to have here in New Zealand. Come visit us!
Hi Jen, check us out…and enjoy NZ, it’s just beautiful here, even after an earthquake!
