Winter fun at The Seed Center – a home-based childcare center in Ithaca, NY owned by Jacquelyn and Aaron Buchel. Their program is wonderful and they have a beautiful environment for the children, inside and outside. I have been enjoying visiting to photograph the seasonal fun in their outdoor playscape. Here are the latest adventures….[slideshow]
I love all of the happy outdoor winter fun! But now, I’m ready for spring!!!! (As big white fluffy flakes continue to fall from the sky…..)
I LOVE these pictures! It’s always amazing how one small environmental change creates a completely different playspace.
Thank you for posting…
yeah – transformations….
and: I know! I’m ready for some SPRING action. (patience…patience…)
Oh to be 4 again! We big folks can’t wait for spring because we know what to look forward to. When you’re 4, you can live in the moment and enjoy what’s happening right now–even if it just happened 15 times in a row and something interesting is right around the corner. What counts is right NOW and right NOW, it’s snow-time! Nice pictures (and cute logo earthplay).
Snow Time!
(and we have more snow today!)
yeah – children will enjoy exploring the conditions of the outdoors WHATEVER the conditions are. (they just need adults to say “YES”) they’ll love spring (when it comes), but will still love winter too. I recently heard a 4 year old friend say that they wish it was winter all the time (it is fun to explore the transformed world – all white, soft and weird)….
(glad you like the logo too Brenda)
My daughter is the one eating snow in the pink suit, and I must say, having this outdoor space, with such wonderful teachers and children to use it, has reminded me of the fun of winter. I can count on Jacquelyn and Susan to get me out of my skin and get me rolling in the snow (or freezing it into milk carton blocks, or excited to build a snow family in my own yard.) Every day I pick up a dirty, muddy, wet girl is a good day!
How nice to hear Alita!
I know – Jacquelyn and Susan are awesome. And what a great outdoor space. (inside too)
So many fun adventures for the kids: Eating ripe apples off the trees in fall, running through Kale forests in the summer, winter wonderland expeditions….I can’t wait to see what happens in springtime!
But for now more snow play….
