The Build in China
We had the amazing opportunity to connect with the non-profit group Half the Sky Foundation to create natural playgrounds at orphanages they were working to transform. With initial trip to investigate the sites, and visit with local builders, farmers, and artists we later returned with US volunteers to build the playgrounds in week-long community-builds. Amazing! The projects pictured here are in Chengdu, Chongching, Guilin, Chuzou. The designs included new hills, shade structures, trike tracks, sand pits, living plant playhouses, waterplay, gardens, sculpture, and more.
