What fun! After skipping a year because of Covid I reconvened with a favorite local Ithaca elementary school to build “phase 2” of their outdoor classroom project. The first year was conceptually designing areas of their woods with an enthusiastic third grade class—9 year old designers and me, working out our ideas. Year two was design detailing with students plus our phase 1 volunteer construction installing log benches, wood chips paths, and an exhibition table. This year we took it to the next level with a rustic chalkboard, a storage unit, and exhibition table #2. Yeah!
