We also love to work with kids to construct their own play spaces. What fun! On a traditional playground construction site kids are often discouraged to help. But when it comes to wild adventure playgrounds it’s all about letting kids construct their own creations. (and help here and there as necessary)
This project is a collaboration with our friends at the Hudson Valley Sudbury School. The kids wanted to create an adventure playground in their awesome woods so they drew up plans, thought about local materials to use, then called us up to join them in construction. What fun! We used logs, tires, lumber, ropes, rocks, willow hips, and moss and created the first phase of their new “Wild Woods” adventure playground.
We can’t think of anything more fun to do than build with kids, so we’ve been coming back every year since!
